The Smithville Elementary Library strives to provide a safe, learner-centered, information-rich environment in which students and staff may develop into effective users of ideas and information.

The library encourages a love of reading in Smithville Elementary's students while providing them with the skills needed to be successful lifelong learners. It supports the educational curriculum by providing a current resource collection.
 
Students may visit the library at any time, individually or with their class. Students are permitted to check out 2 books for a period of one week. Students are allowed unlimited renewals so they can finish their books.
