R. Johnson Reads Honesty Essay at School Board Meeting

Character Reader

by R. Johnson

Honesty is incredibly important in many ways. It can keep you out of a lot of trouble. Honesty means telling the truth. If you do not show honesty it could hurt someone and that someone could even be you!

Once I showed honesty by finding school money on the floor last year. I was walking down the hall after G.T. and from the corner of my eye I spotted a 20 dollar bill. At first, I wanted to take it, but then I thought “Hey, you want people to believe you. You don’t want people thinking you’re a liar, “so I gave it to a teacher. The cool thing was, she said, “Keep it. You did the right thing by being honest.”

Honesty is always key. NO matter where you are, who you are, what you’re doing, or how much trouble you think you’re in, tell the truth and it will make your life so much easier. Remember, honesty is always the best policy.
